Thank You for Your Interest in Becoming a DASI Volunteer

Volunteers at DASI provide a wide variety of services to assist victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and abuse. Volunteers enhance the work we do and are vital to our mission. Opportunities are available working directly with our clients, and working to assist staff and the agency in general. Due to the sensitive nature of the work and to certain legal requirements, volunteers may need to complete specialized training before active participation.

If you are interested in our 60-hour volunteer training class, please contact the DASI Community Outreach Center at 973-579-2386 or by email to info@dasi.org. The class is free to prospective volunteers, however, if you would like college credit for the class, you will need to register with Sussex County Community College.

In addition, DASI staff trains and supervises the Sussex County Domestic Violence Crisis Response Team volunteers and the Sussex County Sexual Assault Response Team volunteers. These volunteers provide direct assistance, support and information to victims at the time of a domestic violence or sexual assault incident. Specialized training is required for both teams. Please contact the DASI Community Outreach Center at 973-579-2386, or by email to info@dasi.org for more information.
